Orchard Update...
The pears are growing... And the peaches, too...though a few have shrivelled and fallen off the tree. Not sure what's going on with those, but I'll be happy to get any peaches this year as it's the first year for these trees!
And yes, there are a few blackberries on my precious little bushes.
Wanted to check in on your blackberries since you seemed envious of my mountain full..LOL Don't despair...they take time. It's worth it..I checked on a couple of the closer brambles around our acreage and the little blackberries are coming in wonderfully, I can't wait until pickin time. Blackberry Wishes to you...
Your peaches look great! We moved into our house in November and the previous owners said that they had planted the peach tree two years ago and it had yet to fruit. The girl really wanted her husband to dig it up, but he wouldn't and I'm so glad they didn't take it. It is FULL of peaches! I can't wait to eat some.
This is the first time that I have visited your blog and I'm really enjoying all of the pictures. I love the square foot gardens that you have made.
Hi! I got to your blog via D P Nguyen (Nashville.) You left a comment on her blog so I scooted on over here to see your SFG! Looks awesome! This is my first year and I'm addicted.
Hey! Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. Your fruit looks very healthy and delicious! The peach and pear look like they are ready to be picked! How old are the trees? They look very healthy!
We purchased our trees in the Fall and planted them. At the time of purchase, they were about 6 feet tall. I've been really pleased with their progress...we also planted an apricot and an apple at the same time, but those are not fruiting this year, so I've neglected them a bit in the blog...that'll show 'em not to produce!! ;-)
